Charles Green newsCharles Green has claimed that Sevco have settled their debts to Scottish football clubs.

Over the weekend Hibs boss Pat Fenlon expressed his displeasure that he was unable to compete for the signings of Dean Shields or Fran Sandaza while Third Division Sevco were in a position to offer three and four year contracts.

Supporters of other SPL sides have also been unhappy with Hearts fans seeing Ian Black quit Tynecastle for Ibrox with the club still to receive the full fee for Lee Wallace.

Green has heard all the complaints and turned to the Daily Record to explain the position’

He said: “There are fans out there who think we are signing new players and haven’t paid our debts. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

“They are not even my debts but I’ve paid them anyway as we want to put this behind us and rise again.

“I want you to make the point really clear. There were people on Jim Traynor’s show saying it is wrong for Rangers to sign these new players when they haven’t paid this and haven’t paid that but that is wrong. We have paid every club we owed money to in Scotland.

“We handed £500,00 to the SFA last Thursday to clear up all the fines and to pay what we owed the clubs.”

Green added: “I will be further supporting Alistair with more signings he wants, so there shouldn’t be a problem upsetting anyone now.

“We have other targets lined up. There will be more players coming into the club before deadline day but I can’t say who they are because I can’t pronounce their names.

“And there will be more players leaving the club.”

As well as debts to Scottish clubs Rangers failed CVA proposal listed money owed to Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Rapid Vienna, Palermo, St Etienne and Orebro of Sweden.

  • Hoopsterhammy says:

Now I suppose the dr will now be following this up by contacting the clubs that were due the money to see if the debt had been paid…..

  • paranoidandroid says:

I wonder if he paid his debts using the currency of planet Zog.

  • CarlisleCelt says:

Debts are all paid now it is alright! Where did he get the £130,000,000 I wonder?

  • Hartson's Comb says:

Did the SPL not withhold the one-million-plus prize money from the team from Ibrox last season for finishing second? Was this money used to help pay off that team’s domestic footballing debts?

  • Greenjedi says:

So Clubs in Scotland get the money they are due, but kiddies charities, the wee paper shop and everybody else can go *&^% themselves!

  • ABhoysVoice says:

“We handed £500,00 to the SFA last Thursday to clear up all the fines and to pay what we owed the clubs.”

He owed MORE than that to Hearts for Wallace alone!! Never mind the fines from SFA,and money owed to Celtic, Dunfermline and Dundee United (and the caterers, police, foreign clubs, charities AND TAX that has not been paid either)!!

  • deano says:

they even owe money to my old school! Hutchesons Grammar – £550!!!

  • Damo Lennon says:

Green says they’re not his debts, yet claims its the same club.

    • paranoidandroid says:

      Good point.

      • Joe says:

It depends which way the wind is blowing for that translation!!!
This is a corrupt organization being protected by the sfa incase there are too many of them exposed too. But they are playing the game well (sfa), they are pretending to take a tough road then they bend over and take it where the sun doesn’t shine. They are protecting someone thats for sure.

  • williebhoy says:

He didn’t pay anything, all outstanding football debts were to be paid from the 2nd place prize money they earned by cheating !!!

I’m sure Barcelona would sell us Messi and Iniesta, after we get rich in the CL then we can start to think about paying them – same idea 🙂

More players leaving, looks like the exit door for Goian – Bocanegra & Edu then….by leaving he obviously means walking away at greatly reduced prices.

Big talk – but little sign of action, apart from bringing in diddy mid table players which might put them on a par with St. Johnstone et al.

Sure the fans will lap up all these new leg ends
running amok in Berwick, Brechin and similar outposts. Talking about winning domestic cups when they struggled to get past the 1st round of the Ramsden’s LOL.

whats the bets a flying pig wacked wee charlie in the head while he was telling these blatant lies?

“….There will be more players coming into the club before deadline day but I can’t say who they are because I can’t pronounce their names…”

Is this clown for real? I’m not a massive Peter Lawwell fan but can you EVER see him coming out with anything like that? Or anyone other businessman for that matter?!

    Absolute shambles. Embarrassing.

  • Tully says:

If Chuckie was so concerned what the public thought of his bunch of cheats why wait until listening to a radio phone in to announce paying back Scottish clubs?

The guys a joke and as pointed out earlier £500,000 doesn’t cover all their toxic debts:

Domestically, Rangers owe: Hearts (£800,000), Dunfermline Athletic (£83,370), Dundee United (£65,981), Celtic (£40,337) and Inverness Caledonian Thistle (£39,805).

English clubs are also owed more than £700,000. This breaks down as: Manchester City (£328,248), Chelsea (£238,345) and Arsenal (£136,560).

European clubs are also owed more than £1.6m, including Rapid Vienna (£1,011,763), St Etienne (£252,212), Palermo (£205,513) and Orebro (£150,000).

  • Tully says:

And while I’m at it, was it not a condition put on them by the SFA before they would allow them to transfer the oldco registration over to sevco so he had no choice other than paying what they owed.

If they had a choice you can bet they would have kept the money for themselves as they have no morals and never will.

  • dombhoy67 says:

The debt this bunch of toxic cheats (Sev-cogers f.c) owe to Scotland and to Scottish football can never be paid back. They have brought shame and disgrace to the Scottish game. They have made a laughing stock of sporting credibility and honour that will permeate and stink our game like mustard gas over the parks for countless generations. They have disgraced themselves and they have disgraced the once beautiful game that we all loved so much. Moreover, they have become a euphemism in Scotland for everything that is corrupt and filthy in our modern society. They should be, and hopefully will be, banned from all Scottish sporting links for ever. They are the shame of Scotland . . .they are Scotland’s shame.
Paid their debts ! . . .not with mere money you won’t.

  • Dougie Bhoy says:

Well if they have paid their debt to clubs when will they pay thier debt to the communities across the country they robbed of illegal tax scams.. im fed up waiting, I want my party when Rangers die!

  • bobbiebhoy says:

Reported tonight on STV that they still owe £500000 to Hearts for Wallace as the payment is not due until next year ? I smell s… Mr Green !

  • Colin says:

They have just went from one lying B****** in White and replaced him with another in Green!
This man and his Sevco are dirty , You can bet they will try every trick in the book to cheat again and again.
Let them rot in hell in the 3rd division for ever I say!
    Scummery

  • tallybhoy says:

You could not give Greene a red neck with a blowtorch!

If sevco are still calling themselves R*ngers and also claiming the history and ‘trophies won’, then surely when BDO come in they will nullify the sale of the assets to Greene and sell off ipox, minty park and the albion scrapyard!

    HH!!

  • sands1888 says:
