Charles Green newsCharles Green has told fans queuing for season tickets at Ibrox that there is an agenda against the club.

The former Sheffield United chief will watch Saturday’s match against East Stirling with The Blue Order as he seeks to increase his street cred with the fans in the street.

Season ticket sales have risen sharply since Green claimed that clubs voted based on bigotry against Sevco joining the SPL or First Division.

Green will have to explain that at an SFA hearing but was happy to tell the punters what they wanted to hear when an STV camera crew caught up with him outside the portacabin selling season tickets.

“We’re not ‘aving, excuse my French, people taking the pee out of us anymore,” he claimed. “It’s finished.

“I will give you an example. This morning, I had a phone call from the SPL telling us we can’t put our old games on the website because we don’t own the archive rights.

“’And by the way, Charles, don’t get angry. You shouldn’t think we are being vindictive, it’s just what the agreement says”.

“Tell me ‘ow I took that? I was walking on the ceiling. I think there is an agenda.

“There’s still battles to be won. I shan’t let you down. I said to someone earlier that when everyone was against us, we stayed. People are now warming to us and we are staying.

“But if we leave fans to one side for a moment, while ever that lot are against us, I’m not leaving. There’s no-one spoke for this club for three or four years. It’s not had anyone standing up.

“I am going to get fined every week, I suspect, or I will get banned.”

I would be very surprised if it was only 300,000. The whole business plan seems to be little different from the Oldco’s. They have slashed costs but their revenue streams are not the same as when they were losing over a million a month. Once the honeymoon period is over and the winter kicks in, big trouble for the Sevco especially if they continue to offer astronomical wages for the third division. Will they ever learn.
