Ally McCoist ladies shoesAlly McCoist and Charles Green have clashed over the lack of Sevco activity during the transfer market.

Following last Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Berwick Rangers McCoist repeatedly stated that he wanted to bring in four or five bodies before the transfer window closed and a 12 month embargo started.

Kirk Broadfoot and Carlos Bocanegra were offloaded in the final days of the transfer window with David Templeton and Francesco Stella joining up.

That left McCoist short on numbers, especially in defence, but sympathy was in short supply as Green cracked another of his one liners claiming that his manager was like a woman looking for new shoes!

Green said: “We didn’t make as many signings on the last day as we’d have liked but we want quality not quantity.

“We put a lot of effort into getting players in. It was frantic as the night wore on. We had difficulties getting through the players we were trying to get through the door and we tried to sign another player from Hearts.

“But the reality is football managers have never got enough players. It’s like asking a woman if she’s got enough shoes. They’ve never got all the players they like.”

Disappointed McCoist admitted: “I said before I’d have been happier with four or five in but we got one or two in and one out.

“The maths would tell you I am not particularly happy but we know now where we are and what we’ve got.

“We are a little thin on the ground in defensive areas so we will have to carry a bit of luck in terms of injuries and suspensions. But we just get on with it.

“It just didn’t happen in terms of other deals. Neil Murray, our chief scout, was great and produced a list of players but unfortunately it just didn’t happen.”

not to worry Sally u can always use “Elbows” and Kyle in defence if necessary pahahahahaha. HH

  • JimBhoy says:

Sevco also wont have to worry about suspensions as the referees will help with this problem as they did at Berwick.

    • Joe says:

Even the refs believe this is still the old club that used to be called rangers! Now sevco are being afforded the same bias and bigotry in their favour.

  • Liam says:

Does Sally ever know how many he has? It’s always 3 or 4 this or 1 or 2 that. Jeez, if anyone should know the exact figure of who is coming or going it should be him. Laughable….Sign this man up for the 25 year contract!!!

  • williebhoy says:

A major shareholder, manager and he is struggling to count to TWO..Bocanegra & Broadfoot out is TWO Sally.

BTW As Black has claimed he was informed by Sally that they would be in the SPL in ONE season. Has ANYONE asked Sally to clarify how this is possible ?

Do these guys have clauses in their contract to jump ship if NOT immediately re-instated to SPL after one season ?

Or is Sally just showing yet again he has major problems in counting ???

FAN Power alone put Sevco 5088 into the 3rd Division not the SPL, not the SFA, Not the rule book…and it is FAN power again that will see justice done and ensure the best they can do is gain promotion to Divison 2…..if they are still afloat which is highly doubtful.

How many even of the easily deluded will continue to stump up to watch mid table SPL plodders play against over the hillers or never wassers. Boring or what meanwhile back in the real world Celtic are playing BARCELONA / BENFICA / SARTAK MOSCOW…Enjoy your dross buns.

I would say, judging by the embarrassing eagerness of Templeton, to play for sevco, that Charlie has been given one of his famous “nods” about them being back in the SPL very soon.

Whether charlie is lying about being given the nod, or whether ‘someone’ at the SFA is, again, breaking the rules for them is anybodies guess.

These clowns will be no more by xmas, even with all the bias and favours, they are flogging a dead horse, scottish football will go from strength to strength without them, sfa masons and scumco out, hail hail

  • StandAndDeliver says:

Mcoist is getting his excuses n early, he knows he out of his depth. His level is under 12’s Sunday league.

  • Jack says:

I have an uncle in the US who said the soccer network there claimed Rangers were granted an hour extension, until 1am, to complete signings at the end of the window becuase they had a transfer ban coming up

either the US channel is making it up of the rules have been bent once again to suit Rangers
