Ally McCoist Rangers newsFive weeks after despairing about the leadership of Scottish football Ally McCoist wants to kiss and make up.

With a decision expected on the First Tier Tax Tribunal and an SPL commission about to rule on the use of dual contracts it seems that the powers that be at Ibrox are in the midst of a u-turn with the football authorities.

Charles Green and highly conflicted SFA president Campbell Ogilvie have both gone public this week about building bridges with McCoist wanting a part of the action ads well.

“I would echo Campbell’s views and sentiments,” the Sevco boss stated. “I’m delighted Charles’ case was found not proven. From our point of view, it was the right decision, it was a bonus for us.

“At the same time, we are of the opinion that we all have to move forward. At a club of our standing, in an ideal world, we have to have a healthy working relationship with the governing body. I’m totally aware of that and that’s what we should aim for.

“You are obviously not going to agree with every decision that’s made that affects both parties but we need to work together for the better and the good of Scottish football.”

Time certainly seems to be a great healer, five weeks ago McCoist claimed: “In recent days, I have been in a number of meetings with Stewart Regan, Rod Petrie and other senior SFA figures – and despair at the lack of leadership shown.

In my years in professional football, I have not always agreed with everything the SFA did or said. But, no matter what you thought of their decisions, there was no doubt they ran the game firmly and robustly.

I can only imagine [former chief executive] Ernie Walker looking down on us now and shaking his head in disbelief at the sad state of affairs and the way they have been mishandled.”

What the lying cheat mean is the following:
The current SFA arent doing what The Peepol want and we are going to get hammerd! However Iv had a word with Brother Ogilvie and Iv to calm my jets till he and those apply some internal presure on the CEO.The Old gaurd would’ve seen these Tims te fech no bother.
Well tough Fat boy,Lord Nimmo will find you’r bunch guilty and apply The Rules Regan ‘forgot’

personally im getting worried by both mccoist’s and green’s sudden u turn towards the sfa/spl. especially with this dual contracts result being due soon. Also the fact that ogilvie has surfaced again this week seems to be another bad sign. call me paranoid but i think something is afoot.

    Quick response :

    – Did you expect anything different? They all sing from the same hymn sheet down that way. Follow my leader comes to mind.
    – Association instead of confrontation. Trying to realign with their old friends in high places? Nothing to do with recent statement from previous employee CO, now at SFA, timing purely coincidental, of course.
    – Not proven – gie us a break. Left Scotland 1963 and still haven’t found another country with such a daft verdict. You did it, but we can’t, or don’t want to, prove it. If in doubt ask Jimmy Boyle – been there, done it and probably designed the teeshirt.
    – Sally’s admiration for Ernie Walker also speaks volumes. Things ain’t what they used to be apparently.

It is sink or swim for them, they know it, but don’t know how to resolve it. Try to bully – don’t work without muscle. Call in favours from friends – got to find some first.

Anyone else remember the hippappotamus (sp?) song about wallowing in mud?

Hoist (or should that be McCoist?) by their own petard.

This ongoing farce could only take place in Scotland.

If we’ve learned 1 thing, we are not and have never been paranoid. The SFA is a Hun fest, the nationa l team is dead to me.

  • Tully says:

    The fat one has spoken!

  • Shamrock hoops says:

No coincidence that any appeal that the Huns will take following spl commission re dual contracts will be heard by the SFA

  • Joe says:

We all know there is no way the corrupt ones will be punished.

    • jackmac says:

Sadly I think you’re right. It’ll all get brushed aside under the ‘not enough evidence’ banner… or as it’s more commonly known…’yep, all shredded’

  • Richie says:

You are indeed paranoid…..and 12 inches are afoot 🙂

  • StandAndDeliver says:

Green is DESPERATE to get the chance to get Ogilvy in for a little chat. To be a fly on the wall for that meeting!

  • pete says:

rangers fc say jump. ally answers #how high# wee toady.

  • paranoidandroid says:

Ally says, “…we all need to work together for the better and the good of scottish football.”

The rest of Scotland says, “That would be a first”.

  • John says:

It’s all ‘Ally this, Campbell that’. The special relationship continues. Is this not the reason that Scottish football has found itself in this position in the first place. One club being allowed to do as it pleases bu their men in high places. Pathetic.

  • GWG says:

I’m more concerned about Desmond’s intervention which collating it all together would suggest a “deal” has been done

    • paranoidandroid says:

Let’s face it. DD and PL’s jobs are much easier with the zombies in the SPL. And I dont know if I’d bet on either of them choosing integrity over profit, either. To be honest, I’m struggling with that one myself as I’m not sure what’ll be best for Celtic in the long run.

However, if the oldco/zombies dont lose their cheated titles, I’m going to be very close to taking up rugby or tennis or something, and just pscking in the whole sorry, corrupt mess that is Scottish football.

      • GWG says:

I’m of the opinion that the loss of the titles will be part of the “deal” (ie) agree to the title loss and they can continue with league reconstruction with zombies brought back to life in the new 16 team SPL

  • Shamrock hoops says:

No loss of titles and the games a bogey in Scotland!!!
