Ian Black Scotland newsIan Black has hit out at the Third Division hard men that have singled out the former Hearts man for a taste of his own medicine.

The midfielder believes that he is a marked man in the bottom tier as the focus turns on the collection of part-time butchers, postmen and labourers who are facing Sevco.

So far Black has picked up five yellow cards from 15 appearances and is on course to match last seasons collection of 13 yellow and two red including a run of five yellow and two red cards over 10 matches at the start of last season.

“I think our whole squad are marked men because of the size of the club and who we’re playing against,” the Scotland midfielder claimed.

“If some of these tackles happened in the SPL, you would be banned and done for assault.

“I think the referees are just waving them by unless you react and maybe the boy gets a booking.

“I don’t mind that but when there are a couple of overboard ones, referees have to stand up and say ‘Hold on, that’s enough’.”

Black added: “One Stirling challenge against me was a straight-legger that burst the strip right up on my chest. The boy got a booking.

“I got a straight-legger in the face at the weekend, which should have been a booking.

“Yet I’ve been sent off for stupid nothing tackles. I just find it strange. I’ve got five bookings in a row for nothing this season.

“I would love to open up about referees but I would get my fingers rapped. I could have lost an eye at the weekend. You can’t make allowances. If referees are giving them leeway then they shouldn’t be refereeing games.”

“I would love to open up about referees but I would get my fingers rapped”…NL has been hauled up before the SFA for less comments than this. Black should be punished!

You can dish it out, but…

  • stephenpollock says:

Well he made his choice to join lower leagues so hardly in a position to complain.

  • What a fanny he is, SEVCO are the most protected club in any of the leagues, oldco had it the same, how many tackles does elbs get away with, and the picture above says it all aboot black. Wish i could play against black or elbows for just 5 minutes then they would know what a hard tackle is. Hail hail, GOD BLESS IE CELTIC+

  • dualcontract says:

What a total dick of a man, there simply is nothing worse than someone dishing it out and complaining in return,it’s the hun way tho!

  • dualcontract says:

On the subject of referee’s, they have been awful quiet on their favourites demise have they not? Would really love it if they could be dragged into this,it is there so start digging buoys and ghirls, they are corrupt to the core.

  • dualcontract says:

    Buoys lol

  • dualcontract says:

    Doh! Bhoys

  • Tommy Brown says:

“You can dish it out, but…”,

“Ha ha ya fud. Ye kin dish it oot bit ye canny take ya big wean.”

Both comments hit the nail smack on the head. But isn’t watching Black get clugged repeatedly even better than seeing Naismith tear up his knee when he was trying to cripple someone else?

No wonder Sevco signed Black though, as he fits right in with their ‘we’re the victims here’ mindset……“Yet I’ve been sent off for stupid nothing tackles. I just find it strange. I’ve got five bookings in a row for nothing this season.”

Boo-hoo, ya poisonous wee cluggin’ reptile, it’s called poetic justice!

  • williebhoy says:

LMAO….I’ve got five bookings this season for NOTHING !!

Sounds like severe criticism of our officials surely.

Good players say nothing, actions talk louder than words – Hence this wee plonker is shouting his gob off again.

  • KevinBarry says:

Hope the next tackle he gets is to the Adam’s apple…

  • Tony B says:

Black is a coward a thug a hypocrite and a Class 1 Grade A fud.

I hope the 3rd division defenders are queueing up to dish it out to him.

Typical hun; dish it out, usually when the opposing player isn’t looking, then feign injury to gain the sympathy of a fellow traveller referee.

I do hope he gets what he so richly deserves.

  • dumfriesbhoy says:
