Wednesday night’s win over Barcelona has put Celtic in the international spotlight more than any event since Seville.

On and off the park the home side made a massive impression with praise flowing from all directions into Celtic Park.

The middle of the group stages of the Champions League can become very predictable as the established clubs do just enough to ensure their passage to the knock-out stages with the minimum of fuss.

From Tuesday’s fantastic service in St Mary’s in the Calton to the final whistle at Celtic Park the following night there was magic in the air as another glorious chapter in the clubs’ history was carved.

Setting the scene for the entire drama was the magnificent tifo display organised by the Green Brigade.

As ever plans were kept underwraps but after You’ll Never Walk Alone the carefully placed plastic sheets came out with the whole stadium taking part with images instantly going around cyberspace.

Barcelona fans don’t need to tell anyone else that theirs in more than a club but after four visits over ten years to the Nou Camp the Barca fans have a keen understanding and appreciation for Celtic culture.

The carefully put together video below shows the awe and appreciation of the Barca support who seemed to take consolation from their side’s defeat by knowing that they had witnessed a memorable sporting spectacle.
