Green Brigade newsThe Green Brigade will unveil their biggest ever ‘tifo’ display when Celtic face Barcelona tomorrow night.

The exact details of the display are a closely guarded secret but will involve the whole stadium rather than just their own atmospheric corner at 111.

With the co-operation of the club an army of volunteers will place cards under every seat in the stadium with the display timed to be unveiled when the two teams emerge from the tunnel before the kick-off.

A message from the Green Brigade said: “On the 7th of November, 125 years and one day from Celtic’s founding meeting in St Mary’s in the Calton, we take on Barcelona in the Champions League.

“With brilliant financial backing from the Celtic support, we have organised a fantastic full-stadium display to mark the occasion and celebrate our incredible history and we need EVERY fan to play their part in making it a success.

“For that to happen, we need everyone to make a big effort to get in early and to follow these instructions.

“Do NOT raise the material at your seat during You’ll Never Walk Alone. Instead, wait for the cue from the Green Brigade corner at section 111 to do so before the teams come out. With your continued support we can, 125 years on from the founding of our club, continue to show the world just what the great Celtic support can do.”

Pictures from the display will be instantly available on twitter and facebook with a worldwide television audience looking in on the scenes from Celtic Park.

In all my years of watching my beloved Celtic (50 odd years) I have NEVER seen a more stunning supporters display ANYWHERE in the world and just like Rod Stewart I didn’t hide my tears.

Well done to The Green Brigade and the club and ALL the supporters tonight for putting our great club back in the TOP Clubs of Europe even the Barcelona manager looked perplexed just at kick off.

The “TEAM” and Neil Lennon / The Coaches have tonight just engrained themselves into history.

The group were formed in 2006 and describe themselves as a “a broad front of anti-fascist, anti-racist and anti-sectarian Celtic supporters.
