Fans turn their back on Green's share offer

Charles Green newsDesperate Charles Green has turned to the airwaves in a bid to salvage his Ibrox share issue.

Green put in a call to Radio Clyde to talk up the share issue which appears to have been shunned by supporters who had the opportunity to invest.

Supporters were expected to pour their millions into the share issue but with less than a day to convert pledges into cash it seems that rank and file fans are set to invest around £3m.

Green had set aside £10m of shares for fans to snap up but now looks certain to re-allocate them to institutional investors.

The former Sheffield United chief sounded downbeat having previously talked up the amount pledged when the share issue was launched.

“Over 10,000 people have registered and pledged,” Green said in October. “ Those pledges in total were in excess of £21m. That’s the level of support from Rangers fans.

“Let’s be honest. Some people might have done it while the wife was out shopping. By now, the £5k might be reduced to £2,500.but even if that overall pledge amount is halved, it will still be £11m and that from fans in this climate is an amazing achievement.”

Green claimed that the failure of the fans to invest would have no effect on his future plans for the club.

The prospectus was only published on Friday December 14 and has been overlooked by the financial media in Scotland despite extensive coverage given to Green and his claims since arriving at Ibrox in May.

I am sure the Scottish Media will portray it as yet another vote of confidence in Chico (Cheatco) as they just want him to get even more profits from buying the shares at 1p and then selling to investors at 70p. I fully expect to see the market flooded with these “investors” trying to dump their worthless shares before the bottom falls out of the market entirely.

Maybe Sally will actually buy more, as opposed to accepting 1m for hee haw to keep the fans onside with this spiv. If ever a club deserved such a clown then it this one. Not even their Leg ends will invest in this sham, talk is cheap but ask them to put up hard cash – not seen for dust.

Murray Cheated Scottish Football, ripped them off from day one, fed them lies and stole money from the taxpayer. Crook Whyte who probably still owns some assets also told them all the lies they wanted to hear. Along comes Chico with the same again….Taking stupidity to new depths.

It’s long past time for Scottish Football to plan without this sorry mob, cut cloth to suit. If not they will take more clubs down with them…make a choice. Built of sand, bigotry The Govan white sox are going the same way as the now defunct Rangers FC…dead.

Lord Nimmo Smith can put the nail in the coffin…by awarding all stolen prize monies to the rightful clubs. Make it happen LNS, you have all the evidence you can possibly need.

Willie, I,ve just read on teamtalk, that Sally HAS bought a bucketload. He is giving it the “family silver” routine. To be passed on to his heirs, like he knows the faithful will no doubt do. Pure desperation!

Prick! shockaroonie, so the new hun fans wont fight to save there club, its almost as if this has happened before somewhere, maybe an old team thats now dead, mmm, maybe a failed share issue before, maybe a team that needed fans money to stop them dying, they really are the greatest fans in the world eh chuck?
so of the 500 million fans worldwide its looking like £3 miliion pulled in which works out at .006p on average from each fan, that sounds about right

Not even the price of a penny chew, priceless

  • Buffythecat says:

Its another barren Christmas for the children of the Ibrokes shareholders it seems. I can just see their wee face dropping to the ground when they open up their wafer thin pressie and a Sevco share certificate falls out!

”Whaaaat the f*ck is this thing? Ah asked Santa fur a bicycle an what dae a get. . .a voucher fur sevco!!!

    • barcabuster says:

The poor wee mites will be frantically trying tae swop them for a new phone or something on boxing day. Even they know, they will only be worth a second hand Peter Kaye DVD in the new year!

  • jockodee says:

I know it’s hard, so, so hard, but …. let it blow …..

    Don’t wallow in their shite!

Just let them die, peacefully, with whatever dignity they still have left – it’s only Christian and it IS Christmas, so let’s be benevolent and descent.

There is no reason for us to dance any longer on top of this zombie’s grave – in fact, to do so is just not dignified.

To keep on and on at it, no matter how justified, is only going to be counter productive in the long run. We want it to end, so WE need to end it.

Let it go … let it blow … ashes to ashes …. dust to dust … Rest In Peace.

It was Christmas day at Ibrokes
    Sally munched his pies
    Charlie sobbed into his port
As he conjured up more lies
“why oh why has the share sale failed”

    The lekkie bill was overdue
“Ow come thee Tims raised 9 million poonds

Sorry to be off subject here but listening to that radio snide, the buns calling in saying they are hoops fans and critizising celtic fans, makes me sick

  • Big G says:

I had to use the 20 grand I pledged to pay off the wife after I kicked her out having come home and caught her in bed with the postman.

  • Big G says:

Well that and also pay off the credit card she was using to do the shopping while I was making my pledge.
