Neil Lennon: As others see me

Neil Lennon smilesNeil Lennon has spoken out about the way that he is portrayed in public.

Snarling images of the Celtic boss are the stock in trade images alongside many stories while other managers get a more sympathetic portrayal.

Just over two years ago Lennon was lied to by Dougie McDonald during a feisty match against Dundee United but was blamed by many for a referee strike shortly afterwards.

Lennon has avoided any touchline clashes this season but has watched with interest the trouble that his fellow Irishmen Steve Lomas and Kenny Siels have found themselves in.

Both men have fallen foul of the establishment with Shiels facing a heavy punishment for claiming that Andrew Dallas was dangerous and manipulative.

“Kenny Shiels and Steve Lomas at the minute are in trouble with the SFA,” Lennon observed. “They are seen as a breath of fresh air or calling things as they see it, whereas I’m perceived as l’enfant terrible or the thug on the touchline.

“It’s the perception people have, it has bothered me because I was just, like Kenny, trying to be as honest as I could.

“If you look at my results over my three years in charge, we have been pretty successful here. I know how to get a winning team on the pitch more times than not and I think that’s the most important thing.

“That doesn’t give me the right to behave in a certain manner but I think I have toned that down as well. There are still times when you will lose your temper, when you don’t think referees are having a good game.

“Now people don’t perceive me as making as big a fuss about it. Other managers do worse than me without getting the negative publicity that I would get.”

The problem with Neil is that it was under direction from the latest little cheating lying refs father that Neil was permanantley goaded and targetted. I still cannot get my head around the fence erected around the refs protecting them when they lie and cheat while managers like Neil Lennon speak the truth but get nailed for it!

We know we are dealing with bigots, but when those are Egotistical Bastards such as Dallas et al,Then we are wasting our time trying to win arguments or drag these scum into the modern age.The best tactic and strategy is to continually expose them as the liars they are .Apart from the odd token R.C ,these people are institunally racist and will remain so .

Funnily enough Butcher and McCall can say what they want and as for Chic Green he’s just immune to any kind of sanction.
I’ve often wondered what’s the common denominator.

  • Keep up the good work Neil Only in Scotland could the men in Black get away with cheating all these years

The old order are falling slowly but surely, and the bigoted SFA (who in the eyes of ra peepul have a vendetta against them LOL) cannot hide anymore behind the MSM. In the words of an old TV show, “The truth is out there”
