Efe Ambrose would love to be joined at Celtic by international team-mate Juswon Oshaniwa.
Neil Lennon has been credited with an interest in the FC Ashdod defender who is currently preparing for the African Nations Cup in South Africa.
Ambrose settled in no time at Celtic justifying his £1m fee with some commanding displays in the Champions League.
Team-mate Oshaniwa looks to have a similar pedigree with Ambrose hoping that Lennon makes a move to re-unite the duo in Glasgow.
Speaking to allnigeriasoccer.com Abrose said: ”I read about reports linking Juwon Oshaniwa with Celtic and like everyone else I’m delighted for him. I think he is a quality player, very good defensively.
“He’s a technical player, does not commit too many fouls on the opposition and being chosen in Nigeria’s squad to the African Cup of Nations has shown he is a very good player, there are so many talented players the country can boast of.
“He is a player that can quickly adjust to any league he finds himself. He has already shown that in Israel. There is room for him to develop further at Celtic if eventually they get to sign him as he is a very young player.”
Nigeria are among the favourites to win the African Nations Cup with Chelsea midfielder Victor Moses looking to the tournament.
He said: “I am confident of a good outing in South Africa. We have prepared well and, having missed the last tournament, wish to make Nigerians proud by the end of it
“This is my first Africa Cup of Nations and I want to make it a memorable one.”
