Ally McCoist transfer newsSevco target Ryan McGowan has signed for Chinese aces Shengdong Luneng.

The Hearts defender turned down a move to Ibrox during the summer transfer window but has remained in the plans of Ally McCoist.

Hearts accepted a £400,000 offer from Shendgong where McGowan will team up with former Celtic defender Du Wei.

Despite being subject to a transfer embargo negotiated with the SFA McCoist is already planning for the future and how to spend Charles Green’s £10m warchest.

Over 150 SPL players will be out of contract at the end of the season but McGowan joins Jamie Murray of Motherwell in declining the opportunity of a move to Ibrox.

Last month his former Hearts team-mate David Templeton expressed his wish to be re-united with McGowan.

The Third Division winger said: “I was good mates with Ryan at Hearts and we keep in contact.

“I texted him the other day to ask him what was happening and to say I’d like to see him here in September.

“Ryan told me he would just wait and see what happened. Ally McCoist didn’t put me up to it – it was just good-natured on my part. I still text a few of the Hearts boys.

“I’m not sure how it works but if we can do a pre-contract then hopefully he will come here. Ryan is a great player, though, and maybe someone down south will take him.

“It seems Hearts are struggling and will look to offload a couple of boys. The worry would be Ryan moves elsewhere in January.”

The “worry”? Sounds like they were starting to make plans. Makes you wonder what kind of player would allow his contract to run out and allow the main transfer window to pass without a club. Just to sign for the Div 3 champions?
A reckless gambler I would guess.

When a club like Celtic call, you jump on the first plane! When Sevco call, piss off to China!!

  • Charlie says:

Sevco are a joke, a tribute band, managed by a fat bloke with no clue. I want oldco stripped of titles & cups, I want Celtic to pursue every single penny denied them, and all the other clubs should do the same. This isn’t a time to let up,keep maximum pressure on sfa, spl & Uefa

    • barcabuster says:

Too right Charlie! And when they are stripped of titles, the purse won is a football debt, for which Sevco are responsible. Let’s take it from them! But As it is impossible to “relocate” the titles, nor the cash prize, Give it to suitable charities,, Tannadice stylee.

    • martin kennea says:

I agree Charlie . We should never let up. We want them stripped of all titles and cups won by cheating. And we want all monies due to us.Hail Hail.

Mccoist is a genius, his whole signing policy seems to involve trying to rob hearts of any player of low intelligence

  • Deehan1888 says:

This is a CELTIC site so please stop posting news about Rangers. All I ever see on here is another pathetic story about Charles Green, Fat Sally or some other bullsh*t story about them. I don’t care. So what if one of their transfer targets is going to a club in China? How is that relevant to us? We are still in 4 competitions including the last 16 of the Champions League. Why not write about that or our own transfer targets?

  • pipster1977 says:

shut ip deehan1888. i love slagging sevco and justice hasnt been done yet.

    • Deehan1888 says:

Go slag them on their own forums then. I enjoy taking the piss out of them too but I don’t care about their transfer targets or any nonsense like that. I’ll only take a real interest in them when they are in direct competition with us for the title.

  • Would you please stop talking about a club that does not exsist There is a lots to talk about Celtic and there comeing and going

  • sean says:

Well said deehan1888, Im annoyed that we keep talking about rangers, who actually cares. If I wanted to hear about rangers I would go on to their site. I want to hear about the hoops, and our transfer targets. We are in 4 competitions so can we talk about celtic please. Lets hope we have a good season, and maybe start making parkhead full again. Come on the hoops

  • Stevie says:

Surely if you don’t want to read anything about Sevco don’t read a article with Sevco in the title.
One thinks for sure Sevco will need watched along with the comedians at the SFA/SPL. Once a cheat always a cheat.

    • sean says:

I am not interested in rangers m8, I’m a celtic supporter. The only team that interests me is celtic. This is meant to be a celtic site, for celtic supporters. As I said if I wanted to know about rangers, I would go on to thir site, the same as if I wanted to hear about Montrose, i would go on to their site. Let’s get more srory’s about the hoops, after all it is a celtic site, it’s not rocket science.

      • Stevie says:

I’m not interested either but as I said don’t take your eye off them.
Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer.

    • Deehan1888 says:

Stevie I didn’t read the article because I don’t care about that club. I just had to make my point that this is a Celtic website. We want news about our own team not about how a Third Div club missed out on a player.
Don’t get me wrong I enjoy taking the piss out of Rangers every now and again but this site is constant. There is more Rangers news on here than there is about Celtic. It pisses me off when their fans say we’re obsessed with their club, this site just helps their argument.
Give me news about Celtic, injury updates, potential transfer targets etc.
I’ll only take an interest in what Rangers are up to when they are in direct competition with us for the title.

Ok no worrys stevie. Just hope we can get a couple of signings to tackle juve. Have youheard anything other than the israeli boy gershon. To tell you the truth a think they should be concentrating on juve, rather than topping up their tans in Spain.Although Scott brown deserves it, he goes under the radar a we bit. A think he has been absolutely outstanding, considering he has that niggling injury.

    • stevie says:

Sean I think any signings will be dictated by any sales
Really cant see any significant sales in january though. After beating Barca I dont fear Juve.
      Cheers HH
