Brown accuses the SFA of failing football

|

John Brown newsDundee boss John Brown has accused the SFA of failing Scottish football and asked whether Hearts cheated their way to last season’s Scottish Cup Final win.

Brown has first hand experience of football’s financial troubles having been at Ibrox throughout the clubs’ administration period and quit as Charles Green arrived post liquidation.

A mysterious five way agreement allowed a newco associate membership of the SFA but with links between Charles Green and Craig Whyte surfacing questions remain over the detail of that deal.

Whyte has been given a lifetime ban from Scottish football- if it’s found that he is involved with Green the Ibrox licence could be under threat with Brown convinced that Green and Whyte are linked.

Some people really have to take stock,” the Dundee boss stated. “Scottish football is a laughing stock.

“The SFA have to look at themselves. They were doing a fit and proper test last summer (at Rangers), why did they not really investigate that?

“They are picking up good money. They should be doing their job properly and they never did last summer.

“It was the same at Dundee. You knew it was going to collapse when guys like Claudio Caniggia were getting paid tens of thousands.”

April 30 was the deadline for clubs to submit audited accounts to the SFA for next seasons’ licencing.

A year ago Dunfermline failed to submit audited accounts and went into administration casting a cloud over this season’s First Division.

Rumours are rife that Hearts could be on the brink of administration with Brown typically blunt about the situation at Tynecastle.

“They had players on £8,000 to £10,000 and they couldn’t afford that,” the Dundee boss stated. “Is that them cheating to win a cup final? Look at the state they are in.

“They could be going into administration. It is the responsibility of the owners or management.”

  • Nigel J Britton says:

If Hearts paid over the odds and cheated to win, surely the Oldco Rangers did the exact same?

    Cheated.

  • Miller J says:

Its funny how quickly the Rangers FC(1872-2012) & Sevco 5088 turned on a man with only the best wishes for their new football club and shacked it up with a liar who was spouting moonbeams about the Dallas Cowboys & Adidas and a hunner million a turnover….gullible as feck.

I can’t argue with anything he says about the SFA or clubs spending more than they can afford. However, I’d take issue with the suggestion that Hearts were cheating in the same way that Rangers did.

Bomber seems to have forgotten that Rangers were funding their team with money fiddled from the taxman, whearas I’m sure Hearts were at least using money they borrowed from a bank.

    Oh …meant to ask….
Did the Govan Club submit audited accounts this time….?
    Also…if the Whyte/Green link is proved……
Will they have their license revoked…..??

Bomber (mumbles) Brown, the star pupil from the Sylvester Stallone Elecution Lesson School.
It’s gone from “Show me the deeds” and “We’ll starve them oot” to “St Mirren are brickin it” and “Hearts are cheating”.
The guy is a complete and utter TOOL.
I predict he will be in Fat Sally’s seat within a couple of seasons.
Already the air headed orcs are turning to him for guidance on how to save “The Big Hoose”.
As bomber would say ” Taft er gid rally na yurny urra loyal” he!he!
    Hail hail

John Brown is brilliant. I really enjoy listening to him. It will be a real shame when he is sacked, we might get 6 months out of him if we’re lucky.

Has anybody showed him the ‘deeds’ yet, last time I seen him he was wondering down argyle st mumbling something about the deeds. Total clown but fair play to him he was the only zombie that seen green for what he was HH

    • eastside says:

When he had his tantrum outside Ibrox, he was genuinely comparing asking for the deeds to Ibrox to knocking on people’s doors and asking to see the deeds to their homes, according to Bomber the Zoomer, if they wouldn’t show them to him they didn’t own their homes and had something to hide. He might have persuaded a couple of frightened old people into showing him their deeds but ran into trouble when asking tenants in a council block for their deeds.
