Malcolm Murray newsThe Rangers chairman Malcolm Murray has attacked the boardroom colleagues who released a video of his drunken behaviour onto You Tube.

The dirty war at Ibrox took another spectacular turn yesterday as the video emerged on the back of various taped conversations appearing on line.

Responding to the video in the Daily Record Murray said: “This is a clear stitch-up. I was kept waiting for dinner for more than two hours and plied with lots of drink.

“I can’t do that nowadays because of a medical condition. I was in a car accident when I was a young man. It took half my head off and half my brother’s head off.

“As a legacy of that accident, I can’t drink nowadays without getting wobbly. I have a balance problem and that’s a medical fact. It’s why I restrict myself to drinks over a meal.

“It seems obvious to me that the people behind this don’t want me at the club. It’s a stitch-up and everyone knows it.”

Murray is on the right of the video wearing a light coloured suit, the video was taken in September by fellow director Brian Stockbrudge apparently concerned for the welfare of his chairman.

Responding to the video a The Rangers spokesman said: “It is deeply disappointing and irresponsible that what was a private video recording has been made public on the internet.

“The footage was taken by a concerned colleague and was presented on a confidential basis some months ago to senior management and board directors, including the chairman, for reasons well known to him and to senior figures at the club.”

Its soooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooood to see these onimals treating each other like onimals

  • seldomsober says:

The guys bevied whit aboot it, fk me i’m like that nearly every weekend.

    • Andybhoy says:

Well said. The guy is pissed so what? Hardly a criminal offence, if it was most of Scotland would be in the pokey ffs.

I love laughing at the sevconian hordes as much as the next Celtic fan but this is a shameful and tasteless low, even for them. Green and his nest of vipers must be getting pretty desperate if they are stooping to these levels to discredit Murray.

  • mark says:

The zombies must be in despair that there club is being run by this mob, one director videoing another one drunk then showing it to the world ffs what’s that all about. I would be breaking the doors down at cp if this shit was going on at my club and chasing these scumbags down London rd. HH

  • Mulsiebhoy says:

Normally, I take great pleasure in anything that shames or embarrasses this tribute act, but this video is downright tasteless. If this is the best that Stockbridge and Green can come up with to discredit Murray (as opposed to, say, he doesn’t have leadership skills or a business plan, or better still, prove that they do themselves!), then they really are Friar Tucked! As for the ‘concern’ stated in the statement from Mordor, you can quite clearly hear it in the video! And as Seldomsober rightly points out, so what if the guy’s drunk..if I was filmed every time I was drunk, it would run longer than Corrie ! H x 2

    • mark says:

exactly mate when I seen the video I cringed more than anything as you say if that’s all they have on him they have nothing. If this was a Celtic employee doing it to our chairman or any other employee he would be hunted from cp but the mushrooms will say/do nothing that’s why they are where they are. HH

  • corrib04 says:

I have to say that the treatment of Murray by the slime that has taken control at Rangers is barbaric. Listening to that posh public schoolboy twatt humiliating Murray and now this vid is behaviour of lowlife. I have no love for Rangers or their DMs, Cardigan, and brogues but at least they were in it for the love of a football club and we knew who the (sporting) enemy was.

These new wide boys at Rangers are taking the absolute mickey out of Scottish football, not just all things Sevconia.

If this was Celtic, could you see our fans putting up with this? Come on sevco fans, sort your club out!

  • Andy says:

What going on over there, videoing a guy with a few bevvies in him then putting it on you tube.
It’s probably not a very good example but its hardly a crime. They must be desperate.

  • Thai Tim says:

The sevconians should hunt down the guy who took the video and shove his camera up where the sun don’t shine. What a sneeky scumbag that Green is BTW. He looks like the sleekit criminal in some pantomime – wait a minute – he IS a sleekit criminal in a pantomime!

  • buffythecat says:

Poor Sevco (not) their one and only trophy may need to be handed back very soon as they lurch from crisis to crisis and the SFA are left with no option but to withdraw their footballing membership as they did not meet the criteria for the 5 Way – Under The Table -Agreement, thereby failing to secure their one and only trophy legally. One Tainted title and counting!

  • Sweeney Hughes says:

First I’ve seen this, I was honestly exp[ecting to see this guy rolling about the ground bubbling snot from his nose greetin for his mammy!!
    That’s the hun though eh?
Despicable scumbags at every level, a board of scumbag directors like these spawn a support that tweet about wee lassies dying of cancer. Really! It sums them up, absolutely no morals, integrity or ethics and as far as their much bandied about ‘dignity’, well, they’ve highlighted it for the world to see, and I don’t mean Mr Murray, a man who thought he was out for a meal and a couple of drinks WITH FRIENDS!!!
    Treacherous doesn’t cover it.

    HH

  • Sweeney Hughes says:

    Ps.

“The footage was taken by a concerned colleague and was presented on a confidential basis some months ago to senior management and board directors, including the chairman, for reasons well known to him and to senior figures at the club.”

And we all now know what you did with the footage after it was ‘presented on a confidential basis’ to you and your board!!??

  • Jimmy Stewart says:

I`m a Celtic fan, the guy had a few beers so what ! nothing wrong with that.Did he hurt anyone; NO. so leave the bloke alone. I , myself, miss Rangers in Scottish football. Not all Celtic Supporters are gleeing at Rangers troubles.

  • yogi says:

Some people have no class and the rabid slavering mob over at Ibrox Demonstrate this every second day.Al is fair in love and war So Malky boy have a bit about yourself and give them double what they gave you.Someone has something on everyone over at Ibrox and the Poison and spite is going to run for a long time.

  • williebhoy says:

Malcolm Murray most certainly has been stitched up, clearly he has touched more than a nerve with his insistence that an investigation MUST be carried out to uncover the turth about Green & Whyte…..hence they now try to dis-credit him.

Alas for real true blue fans, he is THE only one who might have saved the club and put them on a solid footing within the rules. No they are at the mercy of yet more cheats & swindlers…Ellis – Green – Whyte – D Murray – King and a host of others only interested in filling their pockets.

Credit to M. Murray for standing his ground and facing up to the bad publicity, refusing to be coerced by Imram and his cronies. Unfortunately he seems to be stading alone against the tide.

  • eastside says:

Shambles FC bring nothing but criminality and disgrace to our sport. The sooner this Tribute Act kicks the bucket the better.

  • NoPretender! says:

are there no boundaries as to how low this bunch of scumfrogs over at ibrox will stoop to?
fk, if i had a fiver to spare, i would buy that club tomorrow then burn it to the ground on thursday. this is absolutely disgusting – everyone involved with that club (& at hampden) has zero amount of integrity. its only matter of time before someone gets killed in this dirty little mess they’ve created & they will all be responsible. it was all a lot of fun watchin this shambles play out over the past 18 months but now it has gone too far. fkin makin video of a fellow director after a few jars as a source of propaganda – WHAT DA F**K?
if i were in charge of either celtic or hibs then come sunday i would not play the cup final in protest at this bollocks as its these 2 teams that will suffer the most from all this fkin corruption…what next footage of fat sally havin a pie eating competition with the chief security director – barney the bull mastiff? spare me please?! or maybe even sally sukkin the c*m from charlies inverted cck as walter smith cracks one off to the tune of “we are the nobby boys”? where does it end?

pardon the language but i firmly believe this aint even comin close to bein as explicit to the sh*t comin out from the corridors detox park.

    Hail Hail!

  • Bill Hendry says:

I am a life long Celtic fan.

I have served as both Chairman as well as a Director at a handful of Public Companies.

I am a Borad member at the Salvation Army in New York.

I feel so bad for Malcolm Murray.

I do not know him but he does not deserve this treatment. Nobody does !!!!!

I would hope that a number of the good people around Rangers-and there are many Ally Mc Coist and Walter Smith included-will speak out against this madness.

    Hail Hail
    Bill Hendry

  • Ricky says:

    Agree jimmy stewart.
I miss rangers and despite the fact that they cheated for many years , I hope we are playing them soon.
It may be a title but I miss all the drama as it is now a one horse race
Good luck to the team for Sunday
    Hail hail

    • Sweeney Hughes says:

I’ve got some bad news for you m8…..I don’t know how to tell you this………rangers died m8, they couldn’t pay their bills and..well, I guess there’s no easy way to tell you, but they ended up stealing money from British hospitals, hospices and old folks homes to pay the millions of pounds they were paying the players they couldn’t afford to pay with their own money.

      They were liquidated m8.

They left hundreds of millions of pounds owed to hundreds of honest hard working people m8.

They died, so I’m sorry to be the one to tell you, no matter what teams play in Scotland in the future, rangers can never be one of them.

      They died m8.

      KTF

  • SJY says:

    Ricky

Even if we are playing them again soon it will still be a one horse race

They spent millions that they didn’t have in order to remain competitive with us

The competition over the period from 2007 to 2012 was a fraud

The one responsible thing that they tried to do was to try to live within their means from 2005 to 2006

When they tried that the title race was over by Halloween

So Le Guen was sacked, Smith was hired and they went on a spending spree that ended in liquidation in June 2012

Rather than hoping to see Sevco in the SPL we should be looking to teams like Hibs and Aberdeen to provide a challenge

The SPL is a fair competition now for the first time in years

  • poor paddy says:

The guy was only out celebrating his new clubs first ever trophy, leave him alone.
