Ally McCoist liquidationAlly McCoist is determined to spend spend spend till the Ibrox warchest runs dry.

Despite the dire warnings over the state of the new club’s finances it’s business as usual in the manager’s seat at Ibrox.

Modern transfers revolve around three aspects with wages and signing on fee’s as significant as transfer deals negotiated with other clubs.

Sevco are unable to sign players from other teams with McCoist believing that aspect is being overlooked as he prepares to stock up on new stars to push for the League One title.

“Remember, we’re bringing in free transfers,” he claimed discussing his transfer plans. “We’re not spending money on signing targets because of the embargo but we believe we’re bringing in quality.

“When I say that I mean guys who will take us to the next level and improve the team. We’re happy with the boys we have brought in.

“It’s my job to get a winning, attractive team on the park for the fans. I’ll do my best to do that until I’m told otherwise.

“I will go to Craig (current chief executive Mather) with targets and he will tell me if it’s possible or not. To be fair to him he’s been busy this week but we’ve spoken most days on the phone.

“It’s our intention to sit down and talk about what we can and can’t do and about one or two coming in, which I’m still keen to do before September 1. We’ve got eight in and seven out so you can look at that as one in if you want.

“There might be one or two more as well but in an ideal world I’d bite your hand off for another forward and another defender.

“I’m going to have a chat with Steve Simonsen. He’s shown up well so we’ll see what he’s thought of the place.”

How many of the player they are “Getting” in have signed so far – None. How many of them have received their signing on fee and had the agents fees paid? What affect will these outgoings have on the bank balance ? and was there not a few rumours that some might not be signed come the time due to their financial problems ?

So, have the Scottish football ‘authorities’, who were recently ‘reformed’ into the SPFL whilst retaining abject failures like Doncaster, Regan, Ogilvie et al, also ignored the Oxford English Dictionary’s meaning of “embargo”? If it applies to Sevco, or whatever TF they are today, words have no meaning, especially that of “impartial”, “prejudice” etc.
Aye, I must be paranoid. It really FN stinks.

Wat a laugh for us boys the now all the sevco fans that said lennon was never a manager eh. But back up super sally.

    So soon ‘mick’?

  • Barry says:

Ally is incompetent. He’s managed two clubs that play at Ibrox and his record with both of them has been dire.
