Kris Commons dedicated the 50th and 51st goals of his Celtic career to daughter April- on orders from ‘er indoors.
The midfielders’ out-going partner Lisa Hague isn’t afraid to lay down the law and took to twitter to explain the difficulties of telling daughter April that daddy wouldn’t be around for part of her fourth birthday.
Family man Commons has been in the form of his life recently and after striking the post in the first half scored twice after the break- just as Lisa had promised/ordered.
Before the match she tweeted: “If a ghirl can’t have her daddy for her birthday, then a goal will have to do!”
Adding: “April cried and cried today for him not to go!! I think he’ll hit the back of the net 24th min!”
In the 24th minute April had to settle for Charlie Mulgrew hitting the post but in the 24th minute of the second half her dad headed home an Emilio Izaguirre cross then hammered home from a James Forrest pass two minutes later.
After the final whistle Lisa wasn’t slow to reach for her twitter account with: “What a day… What a day!!! Thanks for all Aprils birthday tweets. So glad the bhoys pounded 4 goals for her 4th bday, just what we ordered!”
Man of the moment Kris added: “Absolutely delighted to have scored my 50th and 51st goals for Celtic today. special day because it’s my daughters birthday too!!”
Always the one to get the last word Lisa came back with: “Couldn’t be prouder of @kcommons15 scoring his 50 and 51st goal for Celtic! Xx he’s on fire!”
I can’t seem to find rangers on Fifa 14 on the X-Box :)?
Where are they :)?
They’re not on Pro evo either!
DEED ? 🙂 HAHA
Commons was exceptional ystday, he is the best creative player Celtic have had ina decade, is awareness and skills are top drawer, his fitness is at an alltime best aswel, just hope no tin-pot EPL team fancy him, dont think he would go tho, him and his family seem to be Celtic through n through, think the team played better yesterday cause no Samaras, to slow for an up tempo type game and him and Forrest together just doesn’t work, hopefully lenny will realize that now..we done Celtic, well done Kris Commons.hail hail, KTF
Good to see Chris’s partner as passionate
about Celtic as Chris is.
They seem setled, and love life at Celtic.
Now there’s a player who deserves a new
contract.
Where would we be,if it wasn’t for Chris’s
goals this season.
Our so- called strikers please take note.
We expect too much of Chris at times.Be
it creating, and having the onus of scoring
the goals, as well.
He needs help in both departments. A silky No 10, and a strong target man, should be Lawwell’s targets in THIS transfer window.
Well done Chris, your Mrs. would be proud
of you ( which she is ! ) .
Sorry all,
In above, it should have been Kris, and not Chris.
Commons after all, isn’t any common old
chris.
