Dave King 2Would be Sevco saviour Dave King has warned that the new club must SPEND more money!

While Graham Wallace holds conceptional discussions about pay cuts in a bid to prevent administration the South African based tax exile wants to spend more money trying to live with Celtic.

King was on board with Dave Murray as the old club blasted their way through millions of pounds chasing the European Cup but doesn’t appear to have learned any lessons from the demise of Rangers.

Living within their means ought to be the watchword at Ibrox but as Celtic prepare for a third successive attempt at reaching the Champions League King’s thoughts are on the club across the city rather than the shadow of administration hovering over Ibrox.

“I believe the club has to have funders who will invest to ensure that we can compete with Celtic when we get back to the SPFL,” the South African based billionaire said.

“Unfortunately, our existing shareholders either don’t have the money or the willingness to support Ally.

“With the right shareholder profile we should be investing in the squad not reducing it. We should be supporting Ally 100 per cent.”

As well as King, Sevco skipper Lee McCulloch has also been studying developments in the top flight.

Despite the intensive development of the Celtic squad since they thrashed Rangers (IL) 3-0 in the last ever derby match the versatile former Scotland star believes that the League One leaders are a match for any team in the land.

He told the club website: “Having played in the SPL myself before, I don’t think there’s that much of a gap between the top flight and League One.

“It’s a very thin line between the teams in the division we are currently in and the Premiership and I don’t mean that disrespectfully to anyone.

“You look at Motherwell and they went out to Albion Rovers in the Scottish Cup this season, who weren’t even at home.

“There was another upset at Celtic when Morton beat them at home and that just shows if you drop one per cent or hold off half a yard, you’ll get punished.”

Over the last three seasons McCulloch has been involved in eight cup ko’s ranging from Maribor and Malmo to Falkirk and Forfar.

Lee McCulloch, what does a 36 year old hasbeen know about top level football, other than injuring people to the point of ruining their career’s.

Dirty dave rears his ugly head again and the orcs all jump. He’s actually saying that the people investing at the moment arent good enough and they need more investors either through another share issue or more money pumped in. He’s insulting them and they’ll lap it up. It just gets better!

I would be interested in how Honest Dave thinks a team can compete with another team two divisions above them.

But, as much as I hate to think about it, he’s right about one thing. If sevco get into the top division with us, the peepul who walked away or turned their backs on the oldco will come crawling out of the woodwork looking for a bit of easy money and some glory.

We need to be ready for it when, if, that day arrives. And the chances are it will arrive.

    Joe,

I like your line, ” blasted their way through
    millions of pounds,chasing the European
    Cup.

Which sums up their continuing crisis to a
    tee.
For us to be so far ahead of them, is ripping them apart.
It looks like Sleekit, has been on the phone to Sugar Daddy Dave, moaning about cuts, including his pay.

The Zombies and MSM want the tax fraud
to be their saviour. But his hands are tied,
as he has record tax fines to pay.

Their thoughts are drifting to how dominant we are,and are dreading the
magical ‘ 10 ‘being achieved by us.

Long to reign over them, with the European Cup pride of place.
A trophy which has destroyed their clubs
    (old and new).

A Big Hail Hail to all Tims !!

That last paragraph was one of your best put downs yet Joe! ???????????? canny stop laughing at that one, or him and his sorry excuse for a club!!!!

  • John Bradshaw says:

Hey Elbows, you scored 38 in 62 matches with new Rangers – as an old man. With old Rangers, while younger, you scored 20 in 173 matches. Nothing illustrates the gap more clearly than this.

  • ANDY says:

Elbows McCulloch will never play in the top flight again so his input is worthless
