Less than 18 months after being given SFA membership it seems that the shine has been taken from the journey of Sevco.
Despite being shown the hand of friendship by the footballing authorities the new year has seen a concerted campaign of criticism from the new club at Ibrox.
With only an insolvency event capable of stopping them from gaining promotion to next season’s Championship all should be well at Ibrox as the players and staff anticipate their end of season bonuses.
Last week’s 1-0 win at Airdrie seems to have upset the club prompting Ian Durrant and Bilel Mohsni to use the club website to criticise other clubs.
Ignoring the irony of a headline titled ‘Stick To Your Own Teams‘ first team coach Durrant said: “There has been a little bit of disrespect shown to us but other people should just worry about their own teams rather than worry about Rangers.
“People are saying things about us which don’t really concern them. We know we were poor when we drew with Stranraer and we’ve tried to address that.
“When we got a good result up at Dunfermline in difficult circumstances after some thought our bubble had burst not much was said.
“Within our dressing room we’ve got strong characters and I’d like it placed on record that people should stick to their own teams.
“They can do that and we’ll get on with managing and coaching Rangers. People are saying we should do this and that but we’ll do what we have to do.”
Mohsni was given a second yellow card after the final whistle at Airdrie and missed the win over Stenhousemuir through the suspension.
The Algerian World Cup hopeful said: “After the Airdrie game, I was happy we had won but I was a little bit upset as we had taken a lot of kicks and had been given a lot of free kicks because there were lots of fouls.
“Their right-back swore at me so I swore at him back which I know was stupid but I did it. Their manager walked straight to me and was swearing at me so I swore back at him too.
“I remember Nicky Clark and Ian Black had taken two bad tackles in that game and I was shocked. I can understand why they would react to that because we are humans. Sometimes you are weak and you react.
“I am not being arrogant when I say teams can’t beat us because we are beating them. We have proved this to everyone already.
“But people know after the Dunfermline game the way to play against us is the way they did back then. I think the referees have to protect us.
“Blackie reacted against Airdrie, I reacted and other players will react in the future because we are human beings.”
Earlier this week £800,000-a-year manager Ally McCoist complained that Ian Black needed protection from the hatchet men of League One.
” I want it placed on record”. What record would that be Schnozz? Inka dink a doo a dink a doo a dink a dee?
Stupid stupid SOBBers.
and who protects the rest of the bottom tier from Black? lmao
There is simply no shame to these Sevco cretins.
They are playing players that they obviously can’t afford to try and do a ‘Gretna’ to the top league regardless of dwindling income and the threat of Administration and Liquidation hanging over their head. Not happy enough with the referees as their twelfth man who conveniently forget to report Sevco bookings to the SFA they also want the other teams to ‘go easy’ on their players in tackles during games because they are so precious.
Durrant and McCoist need to get a reality check. Tweedledum and Tweedledummer are as dumb as a bag of hammers when it comes to anything football related and should practice that well known Scottish saying:
‘If ye keep yer gub shut at least naebody will know yer stupid!’
Black needs protection from the hatchet men, says Sally???? 13 yellow cards last season, plus 2 reds, also 13 yellow cards plus 2 reds on his first season at Sevco! only 12 yellow though his last season at Tynecastle! Who,s the Hatchet man?
It amuses me this Hun attitude, you know the one where every other club was out to get them & everyone is going to pay for it when they come err..’back’?
Not sure you can come back when your dead, if so my dad died in 1990 & I’ve not seen him since 🙂
Persecution complex from the huns.
They do irony so well.
No retarted hun trolls on here yet.Must be up to their knees in maple syrup tha ‘tosser’
Good article,Joe.
With their unfair advantage of having players they can’t afford and being full-
time, the wee turd durrant has the cheek
to say “othet players are being disrespectful “.
Then Bile Moshpit, gloats about winning,
then outrageously says, ” they are human
beings “.
When it is common knowledge, that they
are not HUMAN, but are ZOMBIES !!
What happened to ” making friends and
enjoying the journey “, we kept hearing
from them.
The underlying problem is, they see us, CL
and all. They realise they are a LONG,LONG way from competing with us.
Sugar Dave has snubbed them.
Radical cutbacks are on the agenda, and
the pull towards Administration , is getting greater day by day.
How great is it to see them continually
suffer ?
These really ARE great times to be a TIM !!
HAIL ! HAIL !
How many sevco players going to the world cup?
How many celtic players?
Haw haw haw
Good point, drawkcab.
Better still for Lawwell.
As fifa pay our club a tidy sum for each
player that goes.

does not make me a bad person.
Hows Ian Black supposed to kick people if people are kicking him ? Must be one of them caflic conspiracies between the SFA and Cellic lol
