The latest fans protest against the Sevco board attracted less than 300 fans to Ibrox today.
Despite a high profile media campaign and support across social media today’s red card and post card protest attracted a crowd similar to an end of season fourth tier league match.
While the Union of Fans bicker among themselves for power and Mr Dave King keeps a safe distance away from the Ibrox 1972 company the Sins of Struth decided on a march to Ibrox Stadium from the nearby Loudon Bar.
Thousands of red cards and post cards were prepared for the event which was expected to attract blanket media coverage.
Explaining the latest attempt to topple the custodians of the club Stewth supremo Craig Housty Houston told the Evening Times: “This will make a very public visual impact that will let the board and their faceless investors know how they feel.”
The postcard protest included a tick boxes for angry fans to explain the conditions on which they will buy season tickets.
Among the options that fans could select was to name/or remove the faceless investors that control the marble boardroom.
Almost two years after investing their hard earned cash into Sevco little is known about the backers behind Blue Pitch and Margerita Holdings.
Successive chief executives and chairmen have refused to inform supporters or shareholders who is behind the groupings with Renfrewshire based transport magnate Sandy Easdale carrying their proxies into the boardroom.
Easdale, who served a prison sentence for VAT fraud in the 1990’s, has become the latest target of fans anger but has refused to give any concessions to the various supporter groups wanting to take over the club without investing any money.
