The Daily Record has dropped a story alleging that Sandy Easdale has been reported to the Stock Market over insider trading.

The story appeared shortly after 5pm and reported on a number of incidents in which Mark Dingwall, owner of the follow follow website, reported Easdale to the Stock Market, Financial Conduct Authority and NOMAD Daniel Stewart and asked them to investigate.

Dingwall’s claims are based around a number of incidents and turns the spotlight on the uncertain relationship between the football board and the company.

Central to the allegations was Easdale’s comments to the ever compliant BBC that the football club’s fiances were fragile and included the warning that if season ticket sales fell the club might not survive administration.

The Record’s decision to bin the online edition of the story has many similarities to the 2012 decision to reveal that Ticketus helped fund Craig Whyte’s buy out by providing funding to clear the club’s £17m debt with Lloyd’s TSB.

That story was also ditched from the Record’s website and after a few days impasse the Record was quickly back on board with Whyte despite clear evidence that he wasn’t a billionaire.

With season ticket sales down by 60% there are fresh concerns about the future of Sevco although those worries have been around since February when an emergency loan was required to meet the payroll.

Three payroll’s have passed since then without any further need for outside financing although the February loans are still unpaid.

With no sign of movement from the Dave King camp it’s anticipated that season ticket sales will increase beyond the 20,000 mark with the main factor in the fall of season ticket sales down to the dire football played under Ally McCoist…
