John Guidetti 3Ronny Deila believes that there is much more to come from the John Guidetti and Stefan Scepovic partnership.

For the first time since he took charge of Celtic the Norwegian played with two strikers with both men getting on the scoresheet.

Scepovic was fouled for the free kick that led to Guidetti opening the scoring in the 35th minute then scored for himself midway through the second half. The win lifted Celtic into fourth place and within reach of league leaders Hamilton Accies.

“Guidetti and Scepovic showed they can play together and we have to get them more matches, Deila explained. “They are both dangerous. We are going to get a lot of goals from those two at Celtic.”

The red card for Manuel Pascali in the incident that led to the first goal had a major influence on the match with Celtic taking control against the ten men of the Ayrshire side.

Goalkeeper Conor Brennan kept the scoreline respectable with Celtic creating a number of chances in the second half with Leigh Griffiths, Alexsandar Tonev and Charlie Mulgrew introduced from the substitutes bench.

After three straight wins following the international break Deila has a real opportunity to put his stamp on the side in the four matches leading up to the November international break.

Partick Thistle, Inverness Caley Thistle, Astra and Aberdeen have to be faced as the hoops attempt to progress in four competitions.

Full points and progress in two cup competitions would transform the season to date, buying the manager some time to build on with a squad growing in confidence.
