Dave King With three short words the troubles at Sevco seem to be over.

“Yes we are,” Mr David King responded to the question of whether he was confident that his rescue bid would be accepted.

From that brief comment, following a 20 minute meeting with Mr Graham Wallace, who used to work for Manchester City, the troubles at Sevco appear to be resolved with only the exact size of Coisties January war-chest to be decided.

For three years now, tyre-kicker King has been waiting in the wings about to bankroll a bright new dawn for whatever club is playing out of Ibrox.

From yesterday’s words it appears that a £16m bail out is on the way that will see King get a 51% stake in the club using arithmetic that won’t get beyond the back of a cigarette paper.

Assuming that the SFA are prepared to break their own rules to allow a director from Rangers (IL) to become a director of another club King has a number of obstacles to get through before finally sweeping to power.

A new share issue would require the backing of 75% of the existing shareholders effectively voting to half the value of their stock.

Getting past the SFA shouldn’t be too much of an issue but with Nomad Daniel Stewart currently suspended by the AIM a King deal seems unlikely to get the green light from the financial authorities.

While King gets the red carpet treatment in Scotland his every action, investment and donation are being watched closely by the South African Revenue Service, at a recent court hearing Mr King was described as a glib and shameless liar by a judge.

After saving Sevco last night King is expected to produce a vaccine for the ebola virus this afternoon and will complete his day by resolving the devolution max issue for the Scottish parliament.

Sevco have still to publish their audited accounts for the year to 30 June 2014 and call an annual general meeting of shareholders.
