John GuidettiJohn Guidetti made it five goals in a week as he struck the only goal of the game in Celtic’s 1-0 win over Inverness Caley Thistle.

With four home ins in the space of ten days the hoops fans watched their side move up the SPFL table with the form of the on-loan Manchester City striker giving plenty of reasons to cheer.

Guidetti scored early in the second half to lift Celtic above the highlanders with manager Ronnie Deila delighted by the way his side is developing.

“John Guidetti’s very important, and we’ve also got other players who can score,” the Celtic boss said. “I have Stefan Scepovic, who didn’t play today, but it’s very hard for me to leave him out of the team, but he’ll get his chances and he’ll score goals as well.

“We played against our best opponents this season in the league. They’re well-organised with a pattern that you can see they play all the time. They play with confidence and they’re hard to break down but in the first-half we kept the ball for long periods, we created chances and we needed to get that goal, which we did.

“At the end it was a bit nervy – I didn’t like that – but having played so many games in such a short space of time, it’s been very good with four victories. We’ve played four matches in nine days and I’m so proud of the boys.”

After a burst of home matches the hoops travel to Romania to face Astra on Thursday followed by a trip to Aberdeen on SPFL duty next Sunday.
