Last night’s 5-0 demolition of Dundee teed up the celebrations with Aberdeen unable to win at Dundee United leaving Celtic 11 points clear with three matches left to play.

With manager Ronny Deila joining his family in Norway his first team stars can enjoy their holiday weekend knowing that once again the hoops are the champions of Scotland.

Quickly off the mark to recognise the success was Kris Commons whose been involved in the last four title successes.

Leading scorer Leigh Griffiths proved to be a man of even less words.

Outside of the club broadcaster Stan Collymore offered his congratulations.

After his side’s win over Dundee Deila said: “We have shown great consistency since Christmas. We have lost one game in the league and had many good, solid performances, while we have hardly conceded any goals.

“We have shown we deserve to be on top and we will see if Dundee United can take some points from Aberdeen, but if not we will do everything we can to show we are the champions up there next weekend.

“I’m going to follow the game with my phone. I will have to make my speech to my kids before I know the result. I never expect anything.

“I know it’s hard to win there but Aberdeen are a good team and have been consistent. They have been pushing us all the way and we will see if they can continue doing that.”
