Striker - Leigh GriffithsLeigh Griffiths has been named Premiership Player of the Month for October.

The striker found the net six times in all competitions as Celtic surged to the top of the table.

Griffiths will be hoping to continue that form at Ross County this afternoon as the hoops attempt to pick themselves up from the Europa League defeat from Molde.

A winter’s afternoon in Dingwall is about as far from the glamour of the Champions League as it’s possible to find but the journey north won’t be without it’s benefits.

Griffiths told the Scottish Sun: “It could be good to get away and it is a long bus journey, it means the squad will be together and we won’t have been apart for too long.

Sometimes in these situations it can help to be around each other and not have too many outside influences affecting how you feel.

We have the chance to regroup and go again on Sunday and we have to try to bounce back in the same way that we did against Dundee United.

We will go up there to try to get all three points and maintain our advantage at the top. We’ve worked hard to get a good advantage.

Now we need to make sure we keep that going into the international break. There’s a job to be done and we have to go there and try to do it.”

Fans not making the same journey as Griffiths can get along to New Douglas Park this afternoon where Celtic take on Hamilton Accies in the SFA Youth Cup, kick off 1.30pm.
