Brendan Rodgers has brought in Eoghan O’Connell for Efe Ambrose in the Celtic side to face Wolfsborg today.

Ambrose was widely criticised for his display in the 1-0 defeat from Lincoln Red Imps in midweek giving the young Irish defender.

Stuart Armstrong, Patrick Roberts and Callum McGregor all come into the side as Rodgers attempts to put a side in place to progress in the Champions League.

It’s going to be amazing,” Rodgers told the Celtic website. “I have already thought about it a number of times. The first day I came in was really special. There were about 13,000 there and it was really humbling so hopefully I can walk out to as many supporters as possible.

It’s incredible. To grow up supporting the club and travel around watching the team and then to one day have the chance to manage it is special and to walk out at Celtic Park with my family there will be a really humbling experience.

I’m really looking forward to Wolfsburg. That’s my first game walking out there and hopefully we can get as many supporters to show the team we are there to support them and hopefully we will have the same again for the qualifier four days later.”

CELTIC: Gordon; Lustig, Sviatchenko, O’Connell; Brown, McGregor; Roberts, Armstrong, Tierney; Griffiths, Dembele

SUBS: Fasan, Fisher, Ambrose, Ajer, Janko, Henderson, Allan, Christie, Rogic, Forrest, Ciftci.
