Tom Rogic and James Forrest have been named in the Celtic side to face Hapoel Beer Sheva tonight.

Moussa Dembele drops out with Scott Sinclair given the task of playing alongside Leigh Griffiths as Brendan Rodgers’ side go for goals in a bid to reach the last 16 of the Champions League.

Looking ahead to the match Rodgers said: “Obviously the last couple of seasons have gone by and the players learn from those experiences, but it’s a new team, a new idea and a new identity. What we have shown early on is that ability to deal with pressure, and that’s something we have talked about.

“Away to Hearts, a real difficult game, on the back of a difficult qualifying game in midweek, we came through that. You have various checkpoints in your games where you are asked questions under pressure and so far I have been really pleased by how the players have coped with that pressure.

“This will be a similar idea. We are very calm, but we understand that over the course of the two games there will be moments where we will have to cope with that pressure. With how the players have been working, I see no reason why they can’t.

“I know we are playing against a good team, champions of another country, who have confidence, but we are ready to accept that challenge and cope with that and hopefully the players will have positive experience they can take into the games, having learnt from the past.”

CELTIC: Gordon; Lustig, Toure, O’Connell, Tierney; Forrest, Brown, McGregor, Rogic; Sinclair, Griffiths
