Whinging Mark Warburton has issued another stinging attack on the daily hostility he faces from the Scottish media.
Warbo, who apparently had an irony bypass while working as a city trader, seems to be more stung by the criticism of his team than the actual hammering from Celtic.
Using his clubs in-house media platform earlier this week the Sevco boss described some newspaper coverage of Saturday’s derby demolition as poisonous.
Continuing to deflect attention away from the failings of his team Warbo launched a fresh rant today as he previewed Saturday’s top flight clash with Ross County.
“I felt some of the comments were inappropriate,” he whinged today despite a summer signing spree that added TWELVE new stars to the squad that reached the Scottish Cup Final.
“The whole media aspect up here is so negative. I’m an Englishman working in Scotland and I find it depressing that some of the comments, some of the programmes on TV, are so negative.
“One of the comments that irritated was: ‘Go to your friends on TalkSPORT for a positive outlook’.
“Well I’d rather have a positive outlook. I’m not going to say you enjoy losing but I’d rather have a positive outlook on football than a negative one.
“Too many aspects of the Scottish media are negative and it would be good for everybody in the game if there was a little bit positivity when the situation arises.
“I’m told it’s part of the culture. I can’t understand it. Before Saturday I heard TalkSPORT say, ‘Good start to the season. Unbeaten. Things are shaping up well’. But the Scottish version is, ‘Just drawn with Kilmarnock – disaster’.
“It’s two completely different perspectives on the game.”
The TALKSPORT reference was made in the Daily Record, the favourite newspaper of veteran blazer chaser Paul Murray.
