Adam Rooney appears to have escaped unpunished after kicking Scott Brown as the Celtic skipper was getting up from being knocked over by Johny Hayes.
The incident came in the 78th minute of today’s match and began with a foul by Mikael Lustig on Andrew Shinnie.
Brown then crashed the ball against the grounded Shinnie which seemed to kick things off with players from both sides racing to the scene.
As referee Steven McLean attempted to isolate Brown the Celtic skipper was knocked to the ground by Hayes. On the video clip below Rooney can be viewed taking a short kick at the Celtic skipper as Brown gets back to his feet.

Watch Rooney kick out at Brown 1 minute in
After the incident had calmed down McLean booked Hayes and Brown with Lustig yellow carded for the initial foul.
That incident wasn’t the only controversy involving McLean who decided to add five minutes stoppage time and extended it to a sixth minute.
Celtic won the match 1-0 thanks to a 23rd minute strike from Tom Rogic.
The win takes the hoops ten points ahead of Aberdeen who were replaced in second position by Sevco who enjoyed a top flight record score when they beat Kilmarnock 3-0 at Ibrox.
