Jim McIntyre has branded Andrew Dallas’ display in Ross County’s 1-1 draw with Sevco as strange.

Dallas is one of the rising stars on the refereeing circuit but owes his rapid promotion through the ranks to his surname rather than ability with a whistle.

Without having refereed a single Celtic match the Lanarkshire based whistler found himself on the elite FIFA list.

Once a referee gets on the FIFA list they are virtually immune from demotion as the SFA promote their ‘top’ referees by giving them high profile matches.

Like his dad Andrew appears to have no fondness for the game and appears to enjoy subjecting his own interpretation of the laws onto others.

His performance at Dingwall was littered with mistakes which is in keeping with an official who forgot to report a booking for Ian Black to the SFA allowing the former Sevco midfielder to delay a suspension.

After yesterday’s match McIntyre said: “I thought the referee made some strange decisions – that’s the best way I can put it.

“We should have had a free-kick inside their six-yard box when their ‘keeper handled a pass-back. I don’t know why he doesn’t give it but I don’t want to make too much of his performance. I’d rather talk more about my team’s display, which I thought was fantastic.

“We will certainly climb the table with the endeavour and quality we showed today. We have let ourselves down over the last five games. After seven games we were in the top six but the last five haven’t been good enough.
