Patrick Roberts has provided a rare insight into the secrets of the huddle.
The on-loan Manchester City winger came in for the injured Scott Sinclair at Hampden on Sunday and left the National Stadium with a winners medal.
As well as dominating the match the influence of Brown covers almost every area of the playing side with the former Hibs midfielder revelling in the responsibility he has.
“The importance of the occasion was reiterated to us before the game started,” Roberts told The Sun. “When we went into the Huddle on the pitch, Broony spoke to us about that.
“For a guy like him to talk with such raw passion in the Huddle was lovely. He told us we had a chance to make history by winning the 100th trophy and how much that would mean.
“Scott’s been through everything at Celtic. He has been here for many years and knows exactly what it means.
“He’s been in that position so many times and made sure we were all aware of what was at stake.
“It was great to hear his words before the game and it really motivated us to go out and win the game.”
Roberts added: “As soon as that whistle went, we were all determined to go and show what we are capable of.
“We did that, we got that 100th trophy and it was a special day for everyone involved. It was a great result and again, we showed our dominance against Aberdeen.”
Roberts has been in and out of the side recently, showing flashes of his incredible skill but not yet converting that into regular 90 minute performances.
At 19-years-of-age he has plenty of time on his side with six months remaining on his Celtic loan.
With the extent of Sinclair’s injury and length of his absence still to be determined Roberts could have the chance to put together a run of games.
If he needs inspiration as to what level of performance is needed to become a regular he only has to look across the pitch to see the impact that James Forrest has made on the team.
