Scott Sinclair will find out today whether he’ll be fit for the Betfred Cup Final against Aberdeen.

The former Aston Villa man was substituted at half time after pulling up with a sore hamstring and will undergo a scan this morning.

Losing Sinclair would be a big blow to Celtic’s Hampden chances with Brendan Rodgers bracing himself for bad news.

He got caught when breaking through,” the Celtic boss confirmed in The Sun. “We didn’t want to take any risk with him. He was in pain.

We’ll see how he is. He’s very robust so when he had to come off he was hurting.”

James Forrest replaced Sinclair with Patrick Roberts also coming off the bench showing the depth of options available to Rodgers.

Since making his Celtic debut as a substitute and scoring the winning goal in the opening SPFL match at Tynecastle Sinclair has barely put a foot wrong.

With ten goals to his name playing in an advanced midfield role he has almost instantly become a key figure in the side that Rodgers is creating.

Sinclair first worked alongside his current boss when he was coming through the ranks at Chelsea.

When Rodgers was given the manager’s job at Swansea he made Sinclair a priority signing with both men helping to take the Welsh side into the Premier League via the play-off final where Sinclair scored a hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Reading.
