Unlucky Scott Sinclair feels that Celtic deserved more than a point from their Champions League clash with Borussia Monchengladbach.

The former Aston Villa man is enduring a horrendous run in front of goal with the woodwork and outstanding keepers putting up the shutters.

Last night an exquisite shot struck the woodwork with home keeper Yann Summer relieved to leap onto the rebound.

On Saturday at Aberdeen Joe Lewis pulled off an incredible fingertip save to deny Sinclair a goal after he came in off the left flank to fire in a dipping 25 yard drive.

The previous weekend at Hampden it was timber to the rescue when the former Aston Villa man struck a 25 yard free kick around the Sevco wall with Matt Gilks happy to find the rebound fall into his arms.

Sinclair has had a massive impact on Celtic’s season but will have to wait for Barcelona to visit Celtic Park to break his Champions League duck.

In contrast the 27-year-old scored in each of his first six SPFL matches and currently tops the scoring charts with eight goals which works out at one every 94 minutes.
