Callum McGregor has admitted that he’ll play anywhere to get a game for Celtic but would prefer to play in central midfielder.
The 23-year-old has came off the bench to score against Motherwell and Partick Thistle in recent weeks and earned himself a starting place in Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Hamilton Accies.
Scott Brown and Stuart Armstrong have cemented their places in Brendan Rodgers side as first pick central midfielders with Nir Bitton waiting to step in if given a chance.
McGregor made his breakthrough two seasons ago under Ronny Deila and is happy to fill in anywhere as he attempts to remind his new boss of his worth.

On Saturday Celtic are at home to Dundee hoping to extend their ten match winning run followed quickly by a visit from Partick Thistle and trip to Hamilton.
There is barely time for the players to draw breath between matches never mind go training but if Celtic can win the five matches before the break they’ll celebrate the new year with at least a 17 point advantage over the ‘chasing’ pack.
