Kris Commons was one of the first Celtic players on twitter with the social media network buzzing with opinion after his move to Hibs on a 28 day emergency loan.
It seems certain that that deal will be extended through until the end of the season with Celtic picking up the bulk of his wages, similar to last season’s deal with Anthony Stokes.
Should Hibs win promotion to the SPFL it seems likely that the 33-year-old will stay on at Easter Road with his family very settled in the Glasgow area.
Commons has split opinion recently with his relationship with Ronny Deila always appearing strained, none more so than when he was substituted away to Molde last season.
His confrontation with John Collins will be one of the lasting images of his Celtic days, although he played after that it was even harder to see him being a key figure under the Norwegian.
With Brendan Rodgers it was more clear cut, he was never given a look in.
Most Celtic fans can agree that it was time to move on, Commons leaves behind plenty of Celtic memories with the vast majority of comments complimentary about the departing midfielder.
Kris Commons splitting opinion. The whole media/Deila thing to the side, £300k buy & scored some vital goals! Wish him all the best ????????????

All the best to @kcommons15 at #Hibs. My favourite Celtic player in years, he’ll fire the cabbage to promotion!

@CollectCelticFC @kcommons15 @Lisa_Hague1 Good player for @celticfc, but, his conduct under Ronnie was unbecoming.
