Darryl Broadfoot has backed down from a twitter exchange with Chris Sutton.
The SFA Communications supremo generally keeps a low profile but took to twitter to challenge Sutton over the not proven verdict on Rob Kiernan’s punch at Steven Anderson.
After claiming that the decision was made by an Independent Panel Broadfoot decided to opt out of the debate when Sutton replied.

Straight after the match Anderson claimed that he had been punched by the Sevco defender with television evidence backing up that claim.
Two days after the match Kiernan was given a two match suspension which was appealed against.
Last week’s appeal was postponed at Sevco’s request before being rearranged for Wednesday when they came up with a not proven verdict over the punch.
Kiernan will now be clear to play in net week’s Scottish Cup tie at home to Motherwell and also the trip to Fir Park the following week on SPFL duty.
