Mikael Lustig has shared his joy over a new Celtic contract with his Instagram followers.
Posting a picture of him celebrating with Scott Brown at Ibrox the image was quickly liked over 7,000 times.
Yesterday the Swede agreed a new two year extension that will keep him at Celtic until 2019.
Lustig joined Celtic five years ago on a Bosman deal from Rosenborg and has played a big role in their dominance of Scottish football- picking up five SPL/SPFL winners medals and enjoying three campaigns in the group phase of the Champions League.
Like many of his team-mates last season wasn’t one to be remembered but under Brendan Rodgers the 30-year-old has looked like an entirely new player.
Tom Rogic and James Forrest were given new contracts earlier in the season with Craig Gordon and Stuart Armstrong likely to be next to commit themselves to the club with new deals.
Like Lustig, Gordon is out of contract at the end of the season with Armstrong’s deal running until June 2018.
