John Stones has become the latest footballer to admit that playing at Celtic Park is the greatest experience in the game.
The £50m defender was a late substitute as Manchester City drew 3-3 with Celtic earlier this season and admitted that the atmosphere was something special.
Stones has experienced derby days in Liverpool and Manchester as well as high profile matches against the London clubs but nothing prepared him for that autumn night in Glasgow’s east end.
The atmosphere was already at fever pitch when Moussa Dembele opened the scoring with Kieran Tierney’s strike off Raheem Sterling almost sending the television cameras into meltdown.
A spectacular third goal from Dembele earned him overnight fame across Europe as another stirring chapter in the Celtic story was written.

Players from Paolo Maldini to Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have rated playing at Celtic as one of the highlights of their careers, unfortunately for them the experience is even better when you are wearing a green and white jersey.
