Kenny Macintyre has exposed the depths that the BBC plunges to in order to manipulate the news agenda.

Public service is a bygone concept for the state broadcaster as they keep themselves in the loop of news management coming out of Ibrox.

Level 5 PR supremo Jim Traynor is a former BBC Scotland presenter.

On Friday night as Sevco made a dogs breakfast of terminating Mark Warburton’s contract without compensation, McIntyre was quickly summoned to arms.

For months the BBC and others have been producing excuses for Warbo’s dismal results and the complete failure of his summer signings.

Over the last fortnight there has been a slight change in message, on Friday night ‘greedy double dealing wantaway’ Warbo became the villain of the piece.

After delivering details to their favourite outlets chairman Mr King accused the former city photocopy salesman of being behind media leaks!

Rather than live up to their public service and information purpose Macintyre is being used in the character assassination of Warbo.

Look out for all sorts of juicy details that the BBC and others can suddenly unravel, like the time Warbo was late with a library book and forget to pay a car parking fine.

It’s a pity for Ibrox fans that those same investigative resources couldn’t uncover Mr King’s investment plans and where his NOMAD has been hiding for the last two years but that might very towards public service.

Dirty linen will be everywhere this week, rather than provide a detached balanced approach to the story and the very real likelihood of administration Macintyre and friends will be laying into the magic hat- as instructed by their silent Ibrox sources.

When the tribute act finally faces up to reality the follow follow cheerleaders at the BBC can call in their fellow supporters and discuss how it all went wrong and new ways to stop Celtic.

Having abandoned public service for crumbs off the marble staircase of dignity BBC Scotland have sold out their reason for existing to stay in the misinformation loop- again.
