Reluctant Sevco fans have had to admit that Chris Sutton has a point.
The BT Sport pundit highlighted the shortcomings of Mark Warburton at the start of the season while most season ticket holders were wondering around in magic hats.
Comparisons with Ronny Deila brought an angry response from Ibrox fans who were still dining out on last season’s penalty shoot out victory over Deila’s Celtic.
Even after the December 31 defeat from Celtic at Ibrox most Sevco fans were trying to convince themselves that there was a plan in place and that finishing ahead of Aberdeen and Hearts was a sign of progress.

Since losing 4-1 away to Hearts the tide turned against Warbo with the former tactical wizard being panned in the media as they trailed 27 points behind Celtic.
Although he was critical of Warbo’s management Sutton was equally outspoken about the way in which his departure was handled.
Dave King now faces further court action as the League Managers Association press for full payment on the remainder of his contract with Warbo adamant that he didn’t resign.
