There will be no title party at Dens Park for Dundee to worry about.

Aberdeen’s 2-0 win over Hearts today means that Celtic still need six points to win the Premiership with the earliest possible date for that coming on March 31 when Aberdeen visit Dundee.

A win for Celtic tomorrow at Dundee and a defeat for Aberdeen at Dens Park in 13 days time will hand Celtic the title otherwise the hoops can win the title at Tynecastle on April 2 by securing the points to put the title beyond Aberdeen.

Last Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Sevco ended the Ibrox club’s hopes of winning the Premiership which was set out on the opening day of the season.

Celtic were at pains to rule out the prospect of a title win at Dundee, preferring to concentrate on their own preparations without relying on results from elsewhere.

Dundee have reduced Celtic’s ticket allocation for this match and won’t be able to cash in on a potential league decider on their own ground.
