Lee Wallace has saluted the outstanding Graeme Murty as Sevco desperately try to bring in a new manager.

The Reading legend was thrust in charge of first team matters after Mark Warburton discovered that he had resigned from the club.

After losing to Dundee and Inverness Caley Thistle fears were raised that Murts might even more out of his depth than Warbo but back to back wins over St Johnstone and Hamilton have sent delusions soaring.

Murts was told that he would be in charge for the foreseeable future and admitted that taking Warbo’s squad to Celtic Park would be daunting.

Four days before facing upto Brendan Rodgers’ side Waldo has nothing but praise for this week’s gaffer.

For how difficult the circumstances have been, he has come in and been outstanding,” Waldo told the club TV station.

There has been a freshness and a good energy from Graeme and David, and while it has been a difficult period for him coming in, he has stuck to the task so professionally and has given us everything that he possibly could.

His work-ethic has been infectious and the way he has got his points across, the way he has tried to tidy different parts of our game up, the way we analyse and take that out onto the training pitch and into games has all been really positive, and we have been really pleased with the way he has gone about things in the last few weeks.”

Murts is the fifth manager that Waldo has played under at Sevco, following in the footsteps of Coisty, Kendo, Stuarty and Warbs.

A rejection from Pedro Caixinha is expected within the next 48 hours following Ross Wilson’s decision to turn down the chance to become Director of Football at Ibrox.
