It’s that frustrating time of the season for football fans as they wait to hear who their team will be playing in the final month of the season.

The make up of the top and bottom six clubs in the Premiership was known on Saturday night with only the negotiating of television rights holding up an announcement.

What can be said with certainty is that Celtic will start the post split fixtures away at Ibrox on April 29 and finish up at home on May 21 when the trophy will be presented to Scott Brown, for the sixth time running.

Both of those matches will be shown by Sky Sports with the other matches certain to be shared between Sky and BT Sport.

Celtic’s fixtures should be fairly straightforward to sort out but with Sevco and Partick Thistle appearing in the top six for the first time ever it’s likely that either or both of them may end up with 18 home matches and 20 away games.

This weekend’s matches have no impact on the post split fixtures, tomorrow morning at 11am the SPFL will announce the schedule, click below for the likely matches of the champions.
