Scott Sinclair thanked the Green Brigade for their support and anti-racist stand after Celtic’s 4-1 win over St Johnstone at Celtic Park.

A week after being racially abused at Ibrox the former Aston Villa star was back among friendly faces.

From the safe standing area that the Green Brigade occupy an ant-racist flag was unfurled with Sinclair given a great ovation when he went to applaud the fans at the end of the match.

Sinclair was left on the bench as young Mikey Johnston was given his debut and appeared as a substitute just before the hour mark.

It was another relentless performance for the hoops who beat St Johnstone 4-1 after a goal-less first half.

Johnston and right-back Anthony Ralston were drafted in for their first SPFL starts of the season but Celtic’s level of performance never faltered as they moved closer to completing the season unbeaten.

On Friday Celtic travel to Aberdeen in a dress rehearsal for the Scottish Cup Final on May 27.
