Bring in Murray!

Kris Boyd wants to see disgraced Dave Murray take control of Sevco.

The Kilmarnock striker has never been known as one of the game’s deepest thinkers and has clearly missed out on the evidence so far at the Craig Whyte trial.

Murray’s disastrous management relied on the old boys network from the Bank of Scotland and an illegal tax scam to keep the club afloat before he jumped ship for a pound.

Boyd picked up an EBT for £215,000 during his time at Ibrox with Murray telling the court that the recipients will be repaying their EBTs, plus income tax, national insurance and penalties in 2020.

With Dave King’s regime heading for the rocks and no chance of a sugar daddy coming to the rescue the Kilmarnock striker feels that there is one man capable of coming to the rescue.

Writing in The Sun Boyd asks: “I look at how bad things have become at that football club under the current regime and reckon Murray must be sitting there in his plush Edinburgh office asking himself if he could do something about it.

Whatever you think about Murray, his actions always spoke louder than his words. His dream as chairman was to see the club win a European trophy and he was a whisker away from that happening.

But I don’t know a Rangers supporter who would change anything if they could turn the clock back.

The success they lived through in the 90s will stay with them until their dying day.

The deal Murray did with Whyte now has him answering questions in a court of law and who knows how that’s going to turn out but if there comes a time when he is able to buy his way back into the club then I wouldn’t bet against him trying to do it. He certainly has the money.”

Even with his incredible ego it’s unlikely that Murray would be tempted to go near the impeding disaster brewing at Ibrox.
