The Sports department at BBC Scotland is rammed with football talent and knowledge.
So much brilliance that Steven Thompson and Tom English have been left out of the elite squad heading to the USA to cover the World Cup.
Licence payers will however get fantastic insight and coverage from Kenny Macintyre, Liam ‘Stats man’ McLeod. Alasdair Lamont, Pat Nevin. And special guest Kris Boyd, on loan from Sky Sports for a month.
What more could you get for £15 a month.
BBC PROMOTING MEDIOCRITY IN BROADCASTING
Leanne Crichton is on the C-list of BBC pundits, a regular face and voice among the dross that earns a nice side-line from the state broadcaster.
Last summer she was appointed as manager of the Sevco Ladies team by the multi billionaire that is Andy Cavenagh. The guy that also appointed Russell Martin and Danny Rohl.
After 27 matches in the SWPL it all came down to the final fixture.
‘We were miles off it today, in every single department’

Crichton’s side trailed Hearts by two points. The Jambos were away to Hibs while the Sevco Ladies faced Glasgow City, the only non-aligned top flight club in Scotland.
The plan was a win for Sevco, preferably with some early goals and see if Hearts would Hearts-it in the derby fixture.
Hibs played their part, beating Hearts 2-0 but Crichton watched her side utterly capitulate.
Crichton’s side were 3-0 down at half-time, after 70 minutes it was 6-0.
For added enjoyment Lisa Forrest, sister of James scored a hat-trick, netting in the 41st, 55th and 70th minutes.
Undeterred Crichton was in full management mode as she faced the media after the 6-0 defeat. The ultimate bottle job, a team that clearly has issues with mentality.
‘I’m so proud’ Crichton claimed as she justified the performance to her BBC colleagues.
More regular appearances with James McFarlane, Thompson and Jonathan Sutherland are expected next season with angry bears demanding the sacking of Crichton with a more traditional manager installed.
I’m afraid your team selection and tactics leave a lot to be considered.

What a total embarrassing performance in a game that could have won you the league ?

That’s the problem with Ms Crichton ! She spends way too much time in a radio studio or on a TV football scaffolding for extra dough . She is a full time coach but that disappears out of the ‘Mork & Mindy as soon as she gets the text offer to earn more money from a TV producer pal type . Abject failure follows on . I seem to remember McInnes doing the same thing last season when Kilmarnock full time coach ? Rather than finalise and oversee his club’s weekend match he was working for TNT Sport at Ibroxland when his favourites were playing in the EL on a Thursday . How can anyone be a full time football coach when multiple outside jobs distract your full attention simultaneously ?
