Jonathan Sutherland cut a particularly merry figure on last night’s coverage of the match between Raith Rovers and Dundee from Starks Park.
Sharing a cold gantry with James McFadden and Mr Amy MAcDonald isn’t many folks idea of a fun Friday but Sutherland seemed to be enjoying himself to the full.
One tell tale sign that he wasn’t his usual dull self was when he tried to discuss the goal-less first half with Faddy only to be told that Raith were leading 1-0.
For reasons known only to himself that seemed to send Sutherland into fits of laughter.
The ‘Dundee United ‘ fan is expected to present Sportscene tomorrow evening, if he has calmed down in time to plough through selected honest mistakes from the Premiership card.
The festive spirit appears to be alive and well, fully funded from BBC licence payers.

Someone’s had a few babyshams at the Novae bar prior to kick off.

Fairly typical of how @MrJonSutherland and @BBCSportsound view the importance of the lower leagues. Away and crawl up some OF bahookies!

Jonathan Sutherland is so amateurish. Terrible watching when he’s on.

I wonder who the BBC shall replace young Mr Sutherland with as he said that was his last show ? I think that it’s only fair that it will be a Rangers minded presenter ! I mean , the Beeb have this multitude of ex Celtic affiliated TV ,radio and digital staff as guests and presenters ,it’s becoming embarrassing at the unfairness of it all …
