In one of his rare moments of clarity Stewart Regan described Campbell Ogilvie as heavily conflicted.
With a finger in every underhand payment made by Rangers (IL) that attempted to shafted HMRC, the SFA and the SPFL the greatest administrator that the world has ever known took a back seat as the SFA dealt with a decade of cheating inside Ibrox. Some might suggest that Ogilvie simply moved into the shadows having set up the discount option scheme used by Tore Andre Flo and Ronald de Boer.
Replacing Ogilvie in the President’s chair at the SFA is the little known Alan McRae.
A big shot in the Highland League his views have generally been kept under wraps until today’s gaffes made the headlines.
Presumably speaking to Sunday newspapers after the AGM of the SFA the man from Cove just couldn’t hide his dislike of the current situation in Scottish football.

It’s extraordinary that the head of a regulatory body can come out with comments that destroy the appearance of even-handedness
— The Clumpany (@TheClumpany) June 11, 2017
if hes coming out with that nonsense in public what is he saying in private
— Brian (@BrianPW65) June 11, 2017
What’s more extraordinary is that there is no one bringing him and the rest of @SFA to task for this unbelievable bias

Thing is i agree with some of what he said but it was never mentioned when rangers were winning/cheating in the 90s.

Disgraceful comments from a so called leader of the game. Immediately he has put his officials under pressure to level the playing field.

Time for Celtic to go all the way with res.12 and finish these dinosaurs with their pathetic views once and for all

I dearly hope Lawwell has somebody he can trust at these meetings. MacRae should’ve been asked to clarify his comments re RIFC

We need to take a stance against the sfa! It need totally cleansed from top to bottom! Enough is enough

Boring and dreary was how McRae described the prospect of another treble winning season at Celtic- that will be from the club that produces half of his international side.
Take away the boring and dreary players developed by Brendan Rodgers and what does that leave Gordon Strachan with?
As well as insulting Celtic McRae’s claim that ‘we’ need a strong Rangers is an insult to every club in Scottish football- especially those that keep their house in order and their spending in line.
The last time Rangers tried that was in the early to mid eighties when they trailed in behind Celtic, Aberdeen and Dundee United.
With the thoughts and motivations of McRae in power Scottish football will continue to slide downwards- with the silent approval of every club in the land.
