Enough is enough

After sitting back for way too long it’s now time for Celtic to get tough with the crackpots in charge at Ibrox.

Sure we know that their time is coming, when one invoice too many arrives just like in the 2011/12 season, but it’s time to take action now and call Stewart Robertson to account for the stream of abuse coming from the chairman of his company.

King is beyond reprimand since he has no role at the football club but Robertson is happy to smile smugly in the background as his paymaster tries to trash the achievements of clubs that play by the same set of rules.

The Sevco tribute act is being held together by the sticking plaster of soft loans with the SFA and SPFL (who are the member clubs, not some remote distant body) turning a blind eye as they try to steam roll their way towards a £4m cheque for reaching the Champions League.

First thing on Monday morning Robertson should be getting hit with a disrepute charge for the comments of King that four of Celtic’s last six titles are pointless. If he wants to discuss pointless titles we can take a look at the titles won at Ibrox from the day Ronald de Boer was recruited from Barcelona on the illegal Discount Option Scheme.

Every trophy from 2000 till 2011 was won by cheating Her Majesty plus every club and every fan in Scottish football.

Robertson likes to talk about building bridges when he means forcing the influence of serial cheat Andrew Dickson across the whole of the Scottish game.

Getting the former Motherwell bean counter in to justify or apologise and contradict King’s comments would be a good start for Robertson.

It’s unlikely that Neil Doncaster will have the appetite to take King and Robertson to task, in that case it’s time for Celtic to step in and make a complaint.

We’ll all be laughing when King announces his resignation and Brother Pedro heads back to the desert, in the meantime it’s time to reign in the the noises from Ibrox and explain a little bit about dignity and respect to the leaders of the shameless tribute act.
