Jonathan Burns posted an emotional Fathers Day tweet that no Celtic fan could argue with.

Celtic’s penalty shoot out win over Spartak Moscow in 2007 to reach the group phase of the Champions League was one of the most emotional nights that Celtic Park has ever hosted.

It was an incredible tie with Spartak matching Celtic’s 1-1 draw in Moscow to send the match into extra time then penalties.

Artur Boruc was the hero of the night- saving two penalties during the shoot out with Jonathan’s dad acting like a teenager as Celtic secured their place in the lucrative group stage.

The draw for the group phase put Celtic in alongside AC Milam, Benfica and Shakhtar Donetsk to throw up two more nights of drama at Celtic Park.

After losing the opening match away to Donetsk Scott McDonald scored a dramatic late winner at home to Champions League holders AC Milan.

After exchanging wins with Benfica Massimo Donati was the hero of matchday five with a stoppage time winner against Donetsk with Celtic being knocked out in the last 16 on a 4-2 aggregate from Barcelona.

Celtic: Boruc, Wilson, Caldwell, McManus, Naylor (O’Dea 110), Nakamura, Scott Brown, Donati, McGeady (Riordan 104), McDonald (Zurawski 97), Vennegoor of Hesselink.
Subs Not Used: Mark Brown, Hartley, Killen, Sno.

Goal: McDonald 27.
