A poll of Celtic fans wants the support to mobilise against the anticipated SPFL whitewash on a decade of cheating by the old Rangers club.

Earlier this month the Supreme Court confirmed that dozens of players are due to pay income tax and national insurance on secondary contracts which the club had claimed were discretionary loans using the EBT system. Side letters to the players confirmed that the money was related to their employment.

SPL rules insist that all forms of payment to players is registered with the SPL and SFA with Rangers (IL) using ineligible players for over a decade which helped them rack up five SPL titles before their death in 2012.

Yesterday at their AGM the SPFL announced that they would review the discredited Nimmo Smith review of 2013 but also briefed their media friends that there was no prospect of title stripping being discussed.

Responding to that news Video Celts set up a poll this morning asking if Celtic fans should mobilise against the SPFL.

1842 agreed that the whitewash is a step too far with just 4 votes disagreeing.

Similarly, at 12 noon only 8 fans felt that it was time to get on with it with 350 disagreeing with that view.

A statement is expected tomorrow from the SPFL with the whitewash expected to mobilise militant fans into targetting SPFL sponsors with a boycott in order to restore some credibility to the Scottish game.

Ladbrokes, Betfred, Mitre and Irn-Bru among the main sponsors of the SPFL.
